Kawasaki ZX-RR
Kawasaki has produced loads of bikes with different engines and powers. But, there are some bikes which are produced to achieve specific tasks and Kawasaki ZX-RR is one such bike.
Kawasaki ZX-RR was designed for MotoGP championship. This bike was ridden by Anthony West and John Hopkins in 2008. Although the bike struggled in 2008 but you can still consider it as one of the nicest bikes developed by the engineers of Kawasaki. But, before mentioning something about its specifications it is significant to mention that this bike is considered as one of the difficult bikes to ride.
Coming back to its specifications, let’s start by the engine. The bike has a four stroke engine with inline four-cylinder configuration. Although there are two models of ZX-RR introduced in 2006 and 2007, but, engine is something that remained unchanged in both the models. However, displacement is different in both the models. In 2006 model, the displacement is 990cc whereas the 2007 model has the displacement of 798cc. Apart from displacement some other differences can also be spotted in both the models. Exhaust system in 2006 model is Four-into-two-into-one but in 2007 model the exhaust system is same but in titanium.
In terms of maximum speed, you will find 2006 model as a better bike. In 2007 model, the maximum speed is more than 300 km/h which has decreased because in 2006 model the speed is in excess 320 km/h. Same thing can be seen in case of maximum power where 2007 model is less powerful than 2006 model. Seat height, wheels, steering damper, bodywork, tires, frame, gearbox, etc are the same in both of the models.
Though both of the models have some similarities but there surely are some differences as well. It is only due to those differences that you can find both of the bikes offering different level of satisfaction to racers. In the latest model, the basic aim however was to improve the drivability but they have to sacrifice few nice features along with power and speed. But, let’s hope that after making all these changes the New Year will help Kawasaki ZX-RR to perform better than the last year.
